The venture consisted of construction of two new gas boilers with the power of 120 MWt each. Adjusting the installation to environment requirements was carried out by replacing the existing coal boilers with modern natural and coke oven gas boilers. Installation modernization enabled to use surpluses of blast furnace gas produced in the Acerol Mittal Poland S.A. Pollutant dispersion calculations showed that pollution does not exceed the reference value in the air. After implementing our solutions there are only gas fuels burnt out in the installation. There is no waste so there is no need to use process water to transport it.
